Mobile Network Coverage

TADAust Connect Mobile has now entered into a new agreement for our Mobile Phone service which is now delivered over the Optus Network, which covers 96% of Australia and growing.

TADAust Connect Mobile relies on information provided by Optus for the extent of coverage provided by the Optus Mobile networks. While the highest standards have been applied by Optus in preparing these maps, 100 percent mapping accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, a number of factors beyond Optus's reasonable control may cause coverage to vary within a stated area. For example, handset quality or areas of variable reception (e.g. basements, lifts, underground car parks and large concrete buildings) may mean reception is unavailable or subject to interruption. Optus reserves the right to change or modify the network schedule and future locations shown on these maps at any time without notice.

Choosing the Network that’s right for you

Optus currently operates 3 separate Networks in Australia and so it’s important you choose the Network right for you and your purposes.

Optus 2G Network

This Network is great for people who just want to be able to make and receive calls and sms messages. The Optus 2G network covers 96% of the Australian population, making it ideal for users who live or travel to regional areas of Australia.

Optus 3G Network (Single Band 2100MHz)

This Network is great for people who want to do more than just make & receive calls and sms messages. The Optus 3G Network also allows users to do things such as video calls, wireless broadband*, internet browsing, send picture messages and video streaming. The Optus 3G network covers 80% of the Australian population, making it ideal for users who live in major metropolitan areas of Australia.
When outside the 3G coverage areas, users can still access the Optus 2G Network to send and receive voice and sms messages.
